How the number works

Your week, priced at your hour.

Most founders have never put a price on their own hour. That is why the cost of being the bottleneck feels vague. The calculator makes it specific.

1

Your real week

Approvals, firefighting, admin, chasing. Fifteen quick answers. The line under each one keeps you honest.

2

The bill

Your hourly value, then your Bottleneck Cost in five line items. It reads like an invoice because it is one.

3

Hours Back

Optional, twenty minutes. Sort the work into keep, hand off, or stop, and see what the plan is worth in dollars.

The math, in plain view. Effective hourly value is revenue, times the share that rides on you (40% for teams of 10 or fewer, down to 20% past 50), divided by the hours you work in a year. Each line prices your hours at that value, then discounts by what a fix realistically recovers. The low end of your range is 70% of the total. Conservative on purpose.
